Get to know us!

After meeting through hairdressing courses, Siobhan and Jessica became fast friends. Leaning on each other for advice and support while navigating their own entrepreneurial journey.

Each with their own Hair Salon business that has gone from strength to strength, both operating Full Clienteles and offering a new approach to owning a business in the world of Hairstyling.

Jessica

who owns Bluepeacockk Hair Design has been in the hair industry for 12 years. Having started her career with Toni & Guy, she learned a wealth of experience. Once qualified, she pursued her dream to move abroad and went Ibiza.

While living and working there she became a Braiding Artist. In high demand with a full clientele. Also teaching Braiding with a ‘down to earth approach’ to other Hairstylists. Jessica is now a vivid colour expert. She is a teacher with a quirky sense of self, huge drive and an eye for detail.

Siobhan

who owns The Peculiar Hair Club has been hairdressing for 20 years. Starting her salon apprenticeship alongside the City & Guilds junior and senior trade in Crumlin College and passing all her exams.

She decided to gain salon experience in Toronto. Learning about the diversity of the world. Upon her return to Ireland she went on to do the IHF Masters Diploma and Kemon Colour Specialist Award. She has a passion for styling hair. Siobhan is a teacher with understanding and a motivating attitude.

Together

Together these 2 are a force to be reckoned with. With strong moral values around the care to clients, upholding their own belief systems and battling imposter syndrome.

After many projects they realised they worked extremely well together, like the ying and yang of the pisces sign (yes, coincidentally, they are both pisces sun signs), they compliment each other. With each bringing her own skillset to the table.

Not in their nature to be competitive, both ladies would be confused when they would receive comments about how well they worked together despite having their own businesses.

Seeing a gap in the market for collaboration over competition, and the need for improvement around Hairstylist mindfulness. They decided it was time to create FAKED Education.

Wanting to build a community of hairstylists with confidence, friendship and knowledge. The ladies have dedicated time to building small workshops for Organising, Styling and Colour all with mindfulness at the core of each one.

‘We can’t wait to share all we are with our fellow hairdressing colleagues’

Siobhan & Jess xx

Fun Facts: We are both dog moms, the 2 doggies pictured are our fur babies. With the handsome little Chihuahua boy called ‘Hughie’ been Jess’s and the 3 legged mongrel lady called ‘Gary’ is Siobhan’s. They are the FAKED mascots!

Both Siobhan and Jess are into practicing breathing techniques having both had bouts of panic attacks and suffering from anxiety in the past.

Music is life for both too, anything from guided meditation, easy listening of decades gone or upbeat dance music to move the body to.
